When does the Norwegian Human Rights Fund collect personal data?
We deal with personal information provided to us from mainly five groups:
- Persons from partner organizations, including grantees
- Support applicants
- Donors and supporters
- Job applicants
- Event participants
Your rights
You can exercise your rights to access to own information, correction of personal data, deletion of personal data, limitation of processing of personal data etc. by sending an e-mail to sandra.petersen(a)nhrf.no. Grantees, partner organizations and support applicants
The safety and security of human rights defenders is closely linked to the control of personal data and is of fundamental concern for NHRF.
Through the application process and grant management we collect and store the necessary personal data about persons from or connected to partner organizations and support applicants. This information is guarded in a heightened secure matter and is never communicated to third parties, with the possible exceptions clarified and accepted through contracts, agreements and T&R required to initiate and follow up the grant application process and/or partnerships agreements.
Job Applicants
When you apply for a position at NHRF, the information necessary to evaluate your application is collected and stored. This includes the information provided by you and the reference persons to NHRF by the applicant.
Event participants
When participating at one of our events, we may process information such as name, e-mail address, place of employment or organization, job title, phone number, country, language and preferences. The information will only be used for the purpose of organizing the event. The information may be shared with partner organizer of the event. The information will not be given to other third parties.
When you contact NHRF
- Telephone
NHRF has no systematic registration of phone calls. When calling NHRF or calling directly to one of our staff, information about the call may be stored on the phone log of the person you are calling.
Email correspondence with the NHRF may be guarded on our webmail and e-mail applications. NHRF urge you to keep in mind what information you share with us via e-mail, and restrain from sending information that can be seen as sensitive.
Social Media
NHRF does not export or store data given through activities on social media, apart through third-party social media management tools. Non-personal data in form of activity statistics may be exported and stored.
Retention of information
When not otherwise clarified and agreed, NHRF will store personal information only for as long as necessary for the relevant activity or agreement, and for as long as necessary for our reporting, legal and transparency obligation.
