The NHRF supports organisations and communities working for the protection of human rights defenders at risk, both in our prioritized countries as well as through support of some projects that are assessed independently from the NHRF's geographical priorities.

The NHRF prioritises work aimed at ensuring full and equal access to justice, recognizing justice as the key component to combating impunity.

The fight against discrimination and marginalisation of vulnerable individuals and groups is at the heart of NHRF’s mission. Our work prioritises projects where marginalised communities take the lead in advocating for their own rights.
