During 2017 there was a total of 70 active projects in different stages of implementation. Each of these contributed to one or two of the NHRF's priorities of access to justice, work against discrimination and protection of defenders at risk. Half of the organisations implementing the projects were led by women.
The NHRF supported projects defending workers and migrants for better working conditions, communities defending their lands and resources, scheduled castes and tribes fighting against discriminatory policies, and families looking for justice for their disappeared, among other initiatives.
In our annual reports you can find comprehensive information on the NHRF's activities, and the remarkable work carried out by our grantees.
