In March 2019 the first elections in Thailand since the military coup in 2014 was held. What is the situation for those organizing to defend the human rights? Will the human rights crisis prevail, or will the situation get better?

Meet Phil Robertson, deputy director of Human Rights Watch's Asia division and member of the Norwegian Human Rights Fund's advisory board, at the Norwegian Centre of Human Rights. Phil Robertson oversees the organization's work throughout Asia, especially in Southeast Asia, North Korea and Japan. He will speak about the current Human Rights development in Thailand and the region, with a focus on human rights defenders, land rights, migrant rights and Business and human rights.
